Tunable light-to-microwave conversion for integrated photonics
For the first time, researchers implemented a so-called time crystal in a semiconductor device which paves the way for potential applications of these quantum systems. This opens up completely new possibilities for integrated photonics.
From small to large-scale production: glass substrates for semiconductors
The semiconductor industry is shifting from organic and silicon substrates to glass in order to meet the requirements of trends and the associated market demand. LPKF now considers its manufacturing process for glass substrates to be advanced enough for high volume production.
Starting in October, Zeiss will strategically reorganise some of its existing smaller businesses with growth potential in a new business unit. The new business unit is expected to make a significant contribution to Zeiss' brand growth.
To enter the US market, Vision & Control is starting a collaboration with Piezosystem Jena. Piezosystem Jena is already represented in North America by its subsidiary Precision(Engin)eering.
SphereOptics partners with International Light Technologies
SphereOptics is now selling light measurement devices from International Light Technologies on the European market. The American manufacturer has been part of Labsphere since the beginning of April. Labsphere is an already existing partner of SphereOptics.
